Brist

Brist, with 356 inhabitants, is in the south of the Makarska Riviera, along the coast. The name Brist comes from the elm tree (Ulmaceae). There is a wide selection of quality holiday houses and apartments in Brist. In addition to tourism and hospitality, the inhabitants are engaged in fishing, agriculture and olive growing. The place offers numerous opportunities for recreation. Because of all this, Brist is suitable for relaxing in peace and quiet on beautiful pebble beaches, in a real Dalmatian atmosphere, and at the same time close to major tourist centres. It is also known as the birthplace of Andrija Kačić Miošić and academic painter Mladen Veža.
