Gradac

Gradac is the southernmost settlement of the Makarska Riviera and the southernmost municipality of the Split-Dalmatia County, which administratively also includes Brist, Podaca, Zaostrog and Drvenik.

Gradac has been experiencing intensive economic and social development for the past ten years, thanks to an effective management model. There are 1,003 inhabitants living in this settlement, and several development measures are being taken to motivate young families to live and work in this small town, which has a rich social and cultural life even in winter. In Gradac, numerous educations, workshops and courses are held for children and adults, and they are also proud of a library that is more than 120 years old.

Tourism and catering are very developed, and the Tourist Board of Gradac gathers hundreds of small renters, mostly oriented to the market of neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, who traditionally visit this part of the Adriatic coast. There are more than a dozen hotels operating in the settlement, which constantly promote the trend of higher quality tourist offers.
